Biography

The adorable and tenacious Cameron Diaz was born August 30, 1972 in California. Her father is Spanish and her mother American-Indian, English and German. She started modeling at age sixteen and was promptly signed to Elle Modeling Agency contract. She moved to Japan after graduating high school and traveled all over Europe and indeed, the world, with another young model. She broke into acting when she landed a part in The Mask with Jim Carry. She quickly signed up for acting lessons upon landing the part as she had no previous acting experience.

After Mask she took parts in several low-budget films to earn experience and returned to the mainstream in moves such as Something About Mary, My Best Friends Wedding with co-star Julia Roberts, and Being John Malcovich with John Malcovich and John Cusack. She won rave reviews for her roles in all these films and gained worldwide recognition as a movie star. Critics loved her in My Best Friends Wedding and she was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for her role in it. She also played the voice of Princess Fiona in Shriek which was one of the most popular animated movies of the 21st Century. She has been in over thirty-one moves many of which were top hits at the box-office. She has also starred in several documentaries.

In her personal life the beautiful blond actress has been involved with many various actors and directors. In 2004 she became involved with Justin Timberlake. This relationship caused a stir in the media as he is several years her junior. Cameron is outspoken and down to earth about her star status. Unlike many of her contemporaries, she doesn't really care what the public or the media thinks of her but they love her anyway. In fact her I don't care attitude seems to be what they love most about her. That and her dimples anyway. She often lectures fans about why they shouldn't ask for autographs-whether they heed her advice or not remains to be seen. The chances they do are slim to none.
